Our rearranged itinerary start off with some more “wild dolphin “moments from a kayak in Adelaide Bay followed by some intricate paddling through mangrove swamps.
We then drove to Hansdorf, In the Adelaide hills, known for its former Germanic connections and architecture, all a bit twee.
The next day we picked up some E bikes, Powered because the wineries to visit are in the hills and because we had a really upmarket lunch planned at the lanes vineyard and didn’t want to arrive hot and sweaty (that’s our excuse anyway)
First off was the Shaw and Smith vineyard for a premium tasting (Yum) where we loaded up bottles into our saddlebags then onto Nepenthe just because of the name and then the Lane Vineyard for lunch. Apart from the great wines and food on offer it was also an absolute bargain, unmissable.
