The next morning we did the "Fluted Cape Walk " around the headland. We had a wettish scramble across to Penguin Island, just beating the tide and where we found some amazing starfish.
It was quite a stiff walk up the cliffs before we found a picnic stop ; some great views.
Finally, we drove back along The Neck to the "Shucking Oyster "for a dozen very fine oysters and vintage fizz.
The Penguin Rookery was a walk up next door, but not a penguin was to be seen.
Back to the Bay for a final walk along the beach, followed by a BBQ on the verandah, watching the wallabies on the lawn watching us.
Some good wildlife too ; a wallaby unconcerned by our presence and the elusive ekidna, snouting away in the undergrowth, ignoring us, as it burrowed for ants.
